Hey there! I'm Tara Willey (she/her). I'm an actor, dancer, singer, and artist based in Brooklyn, New York. My love for movement, storytelling, and performing began at the young age of three when I insisted the VHS of Cats: The Musical play on repeat in the living room. Surely my parents loved that.

I want joy, spirit, and intention to be at the center of my work. I don't wish to impress, I wish to impact! From a young age I have found catharsis and a sense of identity in various art mediums, and it's an honor to work in a field that can do the same for others. I'm passionate about using performing arts mediums to make people feel seen, loved, and worthy as they are. I was born in St. Louis, Missouri... I want that midwestern-fresh-out-of-the-oven warmth to shine through everything that I do. 

 

I have 18 years of experience in a wide range of classical, commercial, and theatrical dance styles, as well as a well rounded background in vocal technique. In 2020, I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Elon University with a BFA in Music Theatre. I feel so immeasurably blessed to have grown up surrounded by such supportive family, as well as an incredible arts community.

Post-grad, I have turned my career focus primarily to acting for television and film. To hone my skills and passions, I've trained with The Howard Fine studio out in LA for the past four years.

Outside of performing, I love writing (I write a blog called Soul Pie), creating art (if you're interested in seeing or purchasing my work, click here), enjoying the outdoors, rock climbing, hot yoga, and eating squash.
